SEDA College is an independent, co-educational Year 11 to Year 12 school.

As a school, our aim is to develop an engaging and caring learning environment which fosters the holistic growth of each young person, with a vision to provide a range of pathways to lifelong learning.

SEDA College delivers a senior secondary curriculum using an applied learning pedagogy which means hands-on learning happens both inside and outside the classroom.

It is our intention to produce graduates who are confident learners, care for and about others and are optimistic about their future. Our hope is that they will be well-rounded individuals who want to make a difference on both the local and global stage.

Since its establishment in 2007, the SEDA model has impacted students across Australia with programs in Western Australia, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria. SEDA College (Victoria) currently enrols over 750 students annually with 34 venues across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

In 2019, SEDA College delivers the Sport Development Program as well as a High Performance Program (AFL, Football and Cricket) and Building & Trade program.

The SEDA model places student interest at the forefront of their senior secondary education. We deliver the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) alongside VET qualifications in Sport and Recreation.

We promote strong relationships between students and staff. Our ‘one teacher, one classroom’ model allows the teacher to know each young person, their personal circumstances and their career aspirations. The teacher works with each student to develop their confidence as learners and skills for life.

SEDA College Classrooms are located in quality sport, community and recreation facilities across Victoria. This allows students to work on community
projects that are meaningful to them whilst developing a greater insight into the lives of other people in their community.

2020 Class Venues can be located here.

What sets us apart from the rest is our relationships with Australia’s leading sport, recreation and community organisations. We develop areas of study and curriculum with our industry partners so that young people can learn how to do the job of current industry professionals. We place as much importance on developing these skills as progressing theoretical and academic knowledge.

Students undertake industry placement and community development project work as part of the program, to develop their work readiness and community awareness.
