Eligibility

SEDA College Programs

 

To be eligible to attend SEDA College, applicants must display the below traits and qualities:

  • Ability to be a positive SEDA College brand ambassador
  • Able to complete the relevant senior secondary certificate
  • Suited to applied learning and a real life learning environment
  • Have the maturity to manage unsupervised work and learning tasks
  • Independent learners that can handle travel and a flexible learning model
Individuals must be born between 01/01/03 – 30/04/05 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent
Individuals must be born between 01/01/04 – 30/04/06 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent.
Individuals must be born between 01/01/05 – 30/04/07 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent.

Sports Development Programs

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Selection into our Sports Development Programs is not dependent on sporting skills and
students of all ability levels may apply.

Cricket Australia Talented Player Program

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Male:
Representative League: Craig Shield required to trial.
Youth Premier League: *Automatic Entry based on program suitability
State Cricket Academy: *Automatic Entry based on program suitability

Female:
Development League: Julie Savage Shield, required to trial
Youth Premier League: *Automatic Entry based on program suitability

Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory Talented Player Programs

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 To be eligible to trial, applicants must be playing at the following level:
National Premier League, NPL 1 – Seniors, Reserves and U/20s
WPL – Seniors or Reserves, NPL – U/18s and U/16s
State League 1 – Seniors and ReservesApplicants apart of the City or Victory Academy will automatically be offered a spot within the program, subject to meeting SEDA College admissions eligibility

AFL Victoria Talented Player Program

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Applicants must demonstrate a high level of playing ability and meet one of the following criteria to automatically qualify for a position:
Currently on the list of an Under 18’s NAB Cup Club
Currently in the Under 16’s National Trials for Vic Metro or Vic Country
Currently in the Under 15 or Under 16 NAB Cup Club Development squad

Applicants that meet the below criteria may be subject to a waitlist:
A representative player at interleague level
Next Generation Academy


Selection into SEDA College’s programs is based on an online application and interview process. Students apply the year before they intend to commence the program for entry the following year (i.e. students intending to commence in Year 11 would begin their application while they are in Year 10 to start the following year).
