Eligibility

SEDA College Programs

  • To be eligible for Year 11 and 12 in 2018, individuals must be born between 01/01/00 – 30/04/02 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent.
  • To be eligible for Year 11 and 12 in 2019, individuals must be born between 01/01/01 – 30/04/03 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent.
  • Students must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australia Permanent Resident to be eligible for any of the SEDA College program

*Individuals who are unable to meet this requirement due to their individual circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis.


Sports Developement Programs

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Selection into our Sports Development Programs is not dependent on skill and
students of all skill levels may apply.

Cricket Australia Talented Player Program

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Applicants must have represented their U/16 or U/18 Regional Pathway
team in the Cricket Victoria State Championship, Currently play Premier Cricket
or Currently Represent a First XI or Second XI in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket
Association. Prior to a student being accepted into the Talented Player Program,
they must be successful in the SEDA College trial. Individuals who are unable
to meet this requirement due to their individual circumstances will be considered
on a case-by-case basis.

Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory Talented Player Programs

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Applicants must be playing National Premier League, NPL 1 – Seniors, Reserves
and U/20s, WPL – Seniors or Reserves, NPL – U/18s and U/16s or State League 1 –
Seniors and Reserves and have been successfulin the SEDA College trial for selection
in the Talented Player Program. Individuals who are unable to meet this requirement
due to their individual circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

AFL Victoria Talented Player Program

Entry Level Eligibility Requirements
Year 11 & 12 Applicants will need to demonstrate a high level of playing ability and meet the criteria
of one of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the program: Currently on the list
of an Under 18’s TAC Cup Club, currently in the Under 16’sNational Trials for Vic Metro or
Vic Country, currently in the Under 15 or Under 16 TAC Cup Club Development squad or
a representative player at interleague level. Students who apply for the program will be
required to provide documentation at their interview that details their involvement in one
of the criteria listed above.


Note that students must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australia Permanent Resident to be eligible for any of the SEDA College programs. Selection into SEDA College’s programs is based on an online application and interview process. Students apply the year before they intend to commence the program for entry the following year (i.e. students intending to commence in Year 11 would begin their application while they are in Year 10 to start the following year).
