Student Eligibility

To be eligible to attend SEDA College, applicants must display the following traits and qualities:

  • Ability to be a positive SEDA College brand ambassador
  • Ability to complete the relevant senior secondary certificate
  • Suited to applied learning and a real life learning environment
  • Have the maturity to manage unsupervised work and learning tasks
  • Independent learners that can handle travel and a flexible learning model

Entry – 2024

Individuals must be born between 01/01/06 – 30/04/08 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent.

Entry – 2025

Individuals must be born between 01/01/07 – 30/04/09 and must have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent.

Program Criteria

Entry Level: Year 11 & 12

Eligibility Requirements: Selection into our Sports Development Programs is not dependent on sporting skills and students of all ability levels may apply

Entry Level: Year 11 & 12

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate a high level of playing ability and meet one of the following criteria to automatically qualify for a position:

  • Currently on the list of an Under 18s Coates Talent League Club
  • Currently in the Under 16 National Trials for Vic Metro or Vic Country
  • Currently in the Under 15 or 16 Coates Talent League Development squad

Applicants that meet the below criteria may be subject to a waitlist:

  • A representative player at interleague level
  • Next Generation Academy

Eligibility Requirements (Male):

    • Eligibility Requirements (Male):

      • Premier/Country Club Academy Players :  required to trial
      • State Cricket Academy : Automatic entry based on program suitability
      • Dowling Shield/Country Cup Player : Automatic entry based on program suitability
    • Eligibility Requirements (Female):

      • Premier/Country Club Academy Players :  required to trial
      • State Cricket Academy : Automatic entry based on program suitability
      • Marg Jennings Cup/Country Cup player: Automatic entry based on program suitability

Entry Level: Year 11 & 12

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to trial, applicants must be playing at the following level:

  • BOYS
    •  National Premier League (NPL)
    • Applicants who are members of an A League Academy will automatically be offered a position within the program subject to meeting SEDA College Admissions eligibility
  • GIRLS
    •  National Premier League (NPLW)
    • Applicants who are members of an A League Academy will automatically be offered a position within the program subject to meeting SEDA College Admissions eligibility
  • To be eligible to trial, applicants must be playing at the following level:
    • Junior Big V
    • VJBL 3 or higher
  • Eligible for direct entry
    • National Performance Program
    • Victoria Metro or Country Representatives
    • State Development Program – if the student is playing VJBL1 and not VC, a trial is required
    • NBL 1 – development players
    • VC & VC reserve

Eligibility Requirements: Selection into our Building and Trade Program is not dependent on skill and students of all ability levels may apply

Selection into SEDA College’s programs is based on an online application and interview process. Students apply the year before they intend to commence the program for entry the following year (i.e. students intending to commence in Year 11 would begin their application while they are in Year 10 to start the following year).
