Education That Works.
SEDA College is an independent, co-educational Years 11 and Year 12 school, empowering students through their passion for sport. The SEDA model places student interest at the forefront of their senior secondary education, alongside a practical connection to industry.
SENIOR SECONDARY EDUCATION.
The College’s curriculum is designed to connect students to ideas, skills and knowledge that can be applied way beyond the boundaries of a classroom. Centred on the interests of our students, curriculum development is informed by educational theories and practices related to applied and experiential learning.
Curriculum development consultations with industry experts and professional organisations provide high calibre advice to further inform the development of course materials and forms of assessment that are the basis of the College’s education program.
Students at SEDA College complete their Senior and Intermediate VCAL, alongside Certificate II and III in Sports and Recreation. It is intended that the curriculum design will facilitate both student learning and being assessed in real and practical environments.
Our classrooms inspire success.
To maximise student learning and deliver industry-based training, we have set up classrooms at quality sport, recreation, community and trade facilities. We partner with industry bodies to ensure our students receive hands-on learning in their chosen industry.
Our educators are experts in their field. They guide and challenge every student, helping them grasp the importance of theoretical work. Students learn the theoretical aspects of various concepts or situations before putting them into practice. We make use of a combination of e-learning and traditional classroom approaches to teaching.
